The Emery/Weiner School – thanks to a gift from Saranne and J. Livingston Kosberg – is primed to increase its scholarship endowment to $8.25 million. The Kosberg Scholarship Fund will provide support for scholarships for EWS students who demonstrate financial need.
The fund features a matching component. The Kosbergs made an initial, non-matching $250,000 gift toward the scholarship endowment. Further, they have guaranteed $2 million toward the fund. If the community can match that $2 million, the Kosbergs have pledged to match, dollar-for-dollar, up to an additional $4 million – in all, equaling $8.25 million – over the next seven years. The Kosberg Scholarship Fund also received a lengthy write-up in the Jewish Herald-Voice!
It is our goal to increase the Emery/Weiner scholarship funds and to maximize the opportunity that Saranne and Livingston Kosberg have provided.
