Applying for Financial Aid

Emery/Weiner utilizes a third-party organization, SmartAid to help determine financial aid. The confidential financial aid application process is completed entirely online.

Parents must submit forms to SmartAid by February 22, 2019 in order to be considered for the first round of financial aid awards. Please note that approximately 80 percent of our financial aid awards are made in the first round, and subsequent requests/applications will be considered based on remaining dollars. Early application and attentiveness to application procedures are essential, as financial aid funds are limited.

e-TAP

All families of students entering 6th and 9th grades who qualify for financial aid may elect to participate in e-TAP, guaranteed financial aid awarded over multiple years. Families can lock in affordable monthly payments throughout Middle School or Upper School. Click here for an overview of the program.

Confidentiality

Please be assured that this process is confidential and that the information is kept in strict confidence. A family's financial situation is known only by the Financial Aid Committee.

Dates & Deadlines

  • Fill out the online application at SmartAid by February 21, 2020.
  • The first round of applicants will be notified of financial aid decisions in March 2020.
