Coach Ray Marshall, a native Houstonian and former track & field student-athlete at the University of Houston, brings 35 years of high school varsity basketball coaching experience. His career began in 1988 as Head Coach at Incarnate Word Academy, followed by Mount Carmel High School, before moving to St. Thomas High School as a Boys' Varsity Assistant. In 1997, he joined the Houston Comets during the WNBA’s inaugural season, later serving as a Boys' Varsity 1st Assistant at Strake Jesuit and Episcopal High School.
Coach Marshall has contributed to multiple championship appearances, including SPC, UIL, TCIL, and TAPPS State Tournaments, securing several titles. As a Head Track & Field Coach, he has developed state champions across various leagues. His leadership has helped student-athletes compete at the D1 and D2 collegiate levels.
With extensive experience in independent school education, including roles in Development, Advancement, Facilities, and Technology, Coach Marshall is dedicated to student-athlete success. Now entering his 36th season, he and his wife Toni, St. Anne’s Assistant Principal, have been in education for over 25 years and are proud parents of Amber (17) and Katelyn (11).
