Experience the Difference
The Emery/Weiner School utilizes the latest technologies to enrich the learning experience of all students. Technology is integrated into the school’s curriculum across classes and grade levels.
Students have access to the following on campus:

List of 3 items.

  • "Bring Your Own Device" (BYOD) Program

Technology (Laptop/Device) use in class is permitted only under the supervision of a faculty member and left to the teacher’s discretion. If technology becomes a distraction or if the teacher thinks the use is not necessary for that lesson, a teacher may direct students not to use their laptop/device in class.

You have two choices when choosing your device for our B.Y.O.D. program:
    1. Any popular brand laptop with the Microsoft operating system. These laptops allow the added ability for installation of the Microsoft 365 Suite among other programs.
    2. The MacBook is the most popular student laptop on campus. Students love the Apple Apps including iMovie and the interaction with their iPhones.

Please note that an added Emery benefit is the ability to access/download the full Microsoft Office Suite without cost (Mac or PC). You will be able to install this software onto 5 separate machines with the student’s EWS account.

    • Check Assignments that are due for each class
    • Check when you have assessments for each class
    • View your ‘Combined Calendar’ to see all the events from the school calendar and a student's classes and activities automatically collected and personalized
    • View your grades and report cards
    • Check daily attendance
    • View upcoming School Events or Special Schedules
    • And much more…

Parents will set up accounts when they start their applications, and students will receive their accounts in June before they start school in the fall semester.
  • Microsoft Office 365

An added Emery/Weiner benefit is the ability to access/download the full Microsoft Office Suite without cost (Mac or PC). You will be able to install this software onto 5 separate machines with a student’s EWS account.

Each student is provided with a school email through Outlook 365. Students can access this email through the web or set up a device to receive emails. The school administration and staff communicate information through email so students should check this on a daily basis. Students will receive their EWS e-mail login information during New Student Orientation before the first day of school.

  • GSuite for Education

Each student is provided with a school Google Drive account. Students can use their drive to create documents, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint-type files, as well as store files they need to access for their classes.
