At Emery/Weiner, our goal is to help make the admissions process as stress-free as possible. Our team is ready to help and answer questions as needed. Once an account is created, applicants may access a customized online checklist that will help track their progress. The following are admissions requirements – please note that deadlines are not all the same:

  • Application

    Click here to access the online application for the 2022-23 academic year. The priority deadline for the online application is Friday, December 15, 2021. After the priority deadline, applications will be considered only if space is available.
    • If you are a current parent, use your Blackbaud Login Information to apply for a child not currently enrolled at Emery/Weiner.
    • If you are new to Emery/Weiner, please select the "Create Account" link to create a Login Account and Password. Once you enter the required information, click the blue "Create Account" button.
      • **If you have previously inquired, or if the system recognizes your email address, we may have already created an account for you. In this case, please email the Admissions Office and we will provide you with your account information.
  • Transcripts & Standardized Tests*

    Provide the Transcript Request Form to the applicant’s current school. The following must be submitted to EWS by January 24, 2022:
    • Final first semester report card for the 2021-22 school year
      • For schools whose first semester ends later, please submit the most recent grade report as of January 24, 2022.
    • Final report cards from the previous two academic years
    • All standardized test results and attendance records for the above grading periods
    *We understand there may be missing documents and potential gaps in applicants’ performance due to COVID-19. Please provide all available documents.
  • Teacher Recommendations

    Provide the confidential Teacher Recommendation Forms to the applicant’s current math and English teachers by late November 2021. Teachers must submit completed forms to EWS Admissions by January 24, 2022, by email (preferred), or teachers may mail in completed forms to the admissions office.
  • Entrance Exam

    ISEE: All applicants must take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). The ISEE is offered to students remotely at home and at select testing centers. To register for an off-campus exam, visit Please include our school code (447570) when registering. Please note, on-campus testing is limited to first come first served. ISEE exams must be complete and scores submitted by February 1, 2022.

    *To avoid a late fee, registration must be received three weeks prior to the test date. All registration closes two weeks prior to the test date.

  • Interview

    Student interviews and separate parent interviews are required and must be completed by late January. Please note, at this time we are scheduling parent interviews by Zoom. Student interview sign-ups will be available on this site beginning October first. Prospective families are encouraged to schedule interviews early in the fall, as December and January spots are limited. 
    Student interview- all applicants are required to complete an interview. 
    Parent interview – only one parent or guardian is required to attend.
  • Visit

    Tours: Prospective parents and students applying for the 2022-23 academic year are invited to visit campus during the school day beginning September 2021. Individual tours (one family at a time) and after-hours small group tours are available by appointment only. Safety protocols, including mandatory mask-wearing by all visitors, will be strictly enforced. To register for a tour, please click the following link: Schedule A Tour.

    Open House: Prospective parents and students applying for the 2022-23 academic year are encouraged to join us for a two-hour, in-person, on-campus event designed to engage and enlighten. Connect with EWS faculty, school leaders, coaches, and current students & parents. Learn about our culture, curriculum, and community.

    Shadow Days: We plan to host optional half-day and full-day shadow days for 2022-23 applicants beginning this fall. Once dates are determined, shadow request forms will be available on this site.
  • Financial Aid

    Confidential applications will be available in mid-November 2021 at The deadline to apply for financial aid is February 21, 2022. All admissions decisions are need-blind.
