Experience the Difference

View Our Curriculum

Typically defined, curriculum is a subject taught or a syllabus covered — what teachers teach and which courses students take. While these definitions suffice at a typical school, we know that The Emery/Weiner School is anything but typical.
As such, our curriculum mirrors the definition offered by John Kerr. We view curriculum as "all the learning, which is planned and guided by the school, whether it is carried out in groups or individually, inside or outside the school."
In the classroom, students are intellectually motivated and challenged through rigorous sixth through twelfth grade coursework, as reflected in the curricular information found on this website. Well beyond the walls of the classroom, students engage in learning through their participation in school assemblies, outdoor and culture trips, athletic competitions and fine arts contests, community service, and countless other experiential opportunities.

We invite you to explore the incredible learning opportunities that await your student.
