Bruno joined EWS in 2020. He has experience teaching Spanish, World Literature, and Latin American Literature and Culture at the college and high school levels since 2011, both in Mexico and the United States. He received a Ph.D. in Spanish from the University of Houston in 2019 and is especially passionate about contemporary Mexican poetry. As a native of the U.S.- Mexico border, Bruno brings insightful conversations into his classroom and believes that culture and art are crucial elements in the acquisition of a second language. Bruno has also pursued a long career in creative writing. His poems, fiction, essays, and translations have been published in numerous journals and magazines. He’s the author of three poetry collections and a novel published in 2016. As a lifelong cyclist and cycling advocate, you can find him leading rides around town, ranting about baseball, and reading at a coffee shop until they close.
Oshrat attended Yeshivat Tzfirah from middle school through twelfth grade. She graduated from the Yeshiva with a focus on "Plastic art". Shortly thereafter, she served in the Prime Minister's office for two years. After finishing her service, Oshrat attended Bar Ilan University in Israel where she earned her BA in Judaic Art followed by earning a teaching diploma.

Vered has been with EWS since 2013. With 25 years of teaching experience, Vered has taught students of all ages. She educated adults in the Milton Adult Program and in the Congregation of Beth Israel Adult Program as well as Lone Star College. Vered led over 40 workshops for the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston as well as other organizations. She has served as a consultant for educational organizations, such as Ravsak. Her passion for inspiring her students in the classroom and engaging them in creative ways earned her two prestigious awards: Irving L. Samuels Outstanding Teacher Award for Judaic Studies and Grinspoon-Steinhardt Award for Excellence in Jewish Education. Vered also worked as the Assistant Director at the Miriam Browning Jewish Learning Center for three years before starting her current job at EWS. She is currently teaching her MS students Hebrew, and she is preparing her HS students for the Jerusalem Exam. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and most of all spending time with her family.

Noa graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree from the McCombs School of Business. While in college, she studied abroad in Milan, Italy where she further developed her love of languages. Passionate about education, she obtained years of experience in Hebrew and Judaic instruction as well as experience in providing academic support in a variety of subjects. Most recently, she worked as Hebrew Coordinator and Educator at Yeshiva Torat Emet as well as a fifth-grade teacher at Congregation Beth Yeshurun Religious School. Noa, an avid learner, regularly seeks out innovative instructional approaches. Most importantly, Noa enjoys building relationships with her students and instilling in them a love of learning. In her spare time, Noa likes to travel, hike, read, watch TV, and spend time with her family.

Juanita joined EWS in 2016 and currently teaches Spanish I for Upper School and Middle School. Within her 11 years of being an educator, she has taught Spanish I, PreAP, and Spanish II for Upper School. She previously taught at Deer Park ISD & Alvin ISD. She has extensive training in Total Proficiency in Reading/Storytelling (TPRS), Organic World Language (OWL), and teaching standards in line with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL). She has also received Spanish AP-level training from Rice University's AP/Pre-AP Institutes. Throughout her career, she has served as a department leader, Apple (technology) teacher, and presenter for integrating technology. Juanita earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business marketing from the University of Maryland Global College and Teaching Educator Standard Certification from the Texas Teachers Program in 2010. She is a native Spanish speaker, and in her spare time, she enjoys cooking, exercising, traveling (especially to Spanish-speaking countries), and going on adventures with her family.
Lilach holds a Bachelor of Education with Specialization in Mathematics and Computers with Honors from Levinsky College in Tel Aviv, Israel. She has a growing passion for learning and teaching languages. Before arriving at EWS, Lilach taught every age group from seventh to eleventh grade in public schools for several years in Tel Aviv. Lilach also taught at-risk Middle School students in the Tel Aviv area and worked as a research assistant exploring the integration of students from disadvantaged backgrounds in the public education system in Israel. After arriving to the Houston area, Lilach has enjoyed teaching English as a second language to a diverse population at Memorial Assistance Ministries (MAM). In her free time, Lilach likes hiking and biking in nature with her family, practicing yoga, painting, and learning Mandarin Chinese.
