Why Emery?

Na Liu and Brian Chen

When our son first arrived at Emery, the amazing staff helped him get his footing and taught him what he needed to know. He was amazed at how friendly the faculty and other students were. The teachers were so friendly that he occasionally called them friends!
Before our son arrived at Emery, our family had heard from numerous friends that Emery was a great school which helped students progress into life. We did some research and learned that Emery offered multiple new opportunities such as sports, clubs, and others that he would have never had in public school.
When our son first arrived at Emery, the amazing staff helped him get his footing and taught him what he needed to know. He was amazed at how friendly the faculty and other students were. The teachers were so friendly that he occasionally called them friends! He joined many clubs and school activities, such as robotics club, math club, stock market club, and Model UN. He attended the Fine Arts program, and also attended many sports such as lacrosse, tennis, and soccer.

During his second-year, he decided to get more involved. He joined NJHS (National Junior Honor Society), built his own club, and was elected as Treasure in SGA (Student Government Association).

Emery has been a great experience and our son really enjoys going here. Emery has taught him how to be more organized and self-disciplined. Through Emery, he has gained more leadership and become a more confident person. We thank Emery for a great middle school experience.
