Athletics Coach
The Emery/Weiner School is seeking coaches for the 2022-23 school year. The applicant should have knowledge of the sport, enjoy working with young people, and have good organization/communication skills.

- Varsity Cheer Head Coach
- Varsity Golf Coach
- Varsity Head Volleyball Coach
- Middle School Volleyball
- Middle School Basketball
- Middle School Soccer Coaches
For this position, the ideal candidate is expected to:
- Demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and a passion of/for the sport,
- Be a positive example to student-athletes on and off the court,
- Demonstrate effective communication with students, colleagues, officials, opponent coaches, parents, and community members,
- Prepare for each practice/game,
- Ensure the safety of all students before, during, and after athletic events,
- Plan and oversee year-round, including in-season, off-season and summer, training plans (Varsity Program Heads),
- Promote academics and good behavior in the classroom ,
- Create a positive culture for the program and all participants.
Responsibilities Include:
- Coach student-athletes with a range of skill levels,
- Prepare and plan for productive practices and games,
- Supervise students while at practices and games both on and off campus,
- Provide consistent oral and written communication to students and families,
- Work collaboratively with assistant coaches and athletics staff members,
- More specific roles and responsibilities will be discussed during interview.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience playing and/or coaching the sport at the middle school, high school, college or professional level
- Commitment to academic and athletic excellence
- A strong commitment to professional growth
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience coaching in independent schools
